CSR Activities

At V Star, we actively contribute to the social and economic development of the needy communities. Through our CSR efforts, we endeavour to make a material, visible and lasting difference to the lives of the disadvantaged sections of the society. We have identified areas that needs our help and are orienting our efforts towards them.

Women Empowerment Project at Attappadi
For the empowerment of women at the tribal areas of Attpadi, provided machines to do business by making and trading Idli and Dosa mavu.

Neerurava Water ATM Project at Attappady Sholayur Panchayat
V-Star donated 3 Water ATM's Kulukkur, Dhasannur and Kottamedu. Neerurava Water ATM Project’ is providing drinkable water from Reverse Osmosis plant to the tribal people and general people in Attappady.

Smart Classroom at Govt UP school, North Vazhakulam
V-Star supports the infrastructure requirements for smart classes in Government schools of Kerala to assist these schools in setting up the perfect learning atmosphere for kids. As a part of it we have provided the necessary materials to set up Smart Class room at Govt.UP School, North Vazhakulam.

Sanitation Project held at Govt. ITI, Mattathkadu, (Attappady).
Govt. ITI, Mattathkadu (Attappady), one of the best institution reported an issue at Santhi Medical Information regarding the lack of basic facilities such as drinking water and sanitation. Immediately, V Star took an initiative to include the toilets and the RO plant under the CSR project.
Mr. Ravi, Vice President of Sholayoor Panchayat handed over the same to the students of ITI.

New Staff Room Donated to Govt. L.P School, South Vazhakulam.
V Star donated a Staff Room with adequate facilities to Govt. L.P School, South Vazhakulam as a part of CSR activities.
Also donated a toilet for Anganwadi at Edathala Panchayath.

‘WE CARE CHILDREN’ –A Unique CSR initiative from V Star!
‘We Care Children’, the CSR activity initiated by V-Star targeting government schools in Kerala’s rural areas, has begun on a high note. Through this scheme, V-Star plans to provide basic amenities and facilities in selected schools along with organising hygienic awareness seminars, hygienic excellence award, medical camps and various other training programmes for children.
As part of the first phase of the scheme, basic facilities like classrooms, toilets, incinerators and bore wells were set up at the Government Vocational Higher Secondary School and Government L.P. School in Agali, Government Higher Secondary School and Government U.P. School in Karara along with Government Vocational Tribal Higher Secondary School in Pudur.

New building Donated to Govt . L.P School, South Vazhakulam.
The South Vazhakkulam L.P school has nearly 150 students but the school didn’t have a good kitchen to prepare food for the students. V Star donated a kitchen building with adequate storage facilities.
V star also donated 60 chairs to the nursery class in the same school with a view to provide a better learning environment.

Sanitation Project held at Manikuni Tribal Colony, Wayanad.
Because of poor sanitation, water contamination issues were common in Manikuni Tribal colony, which lead to various health problems like diarrhea, Jaundice etc. in those areas.
In order to tackle the water contamination issue, V Star has put in place effective sanitation facilities & drainage system at the colony.

Cancer Awareness Seminar
V Star organised a free cancer awareness seminar as part of the International Women’s Day 2015.
Dr. Thomas Varghese, famous oncologist and senior surgeon at Renai MediCity, Kochi,spoke about the rising incidents of breast cancer among women and the alarming rise of cancer victims below the age of 30.
